Turmeric and Curd Body Polish
A spoon of curd with a pinch of turmeric and a little besan is smoothed on the arms before a bath. The bath rinses it away. It can leave a yellow tint and it is not a whitening polish.

About this turmeric yogurt body polish
Fresh curd, a pinch of turmeric, and a little besan make a soft polish for the arms just before a bath. The curd keeps the mix moist, and the besan gives it a little body. Turmeric is only a pinch because it stains skin and cloth yellow for a while.
Smooth it on, wait a few minutes, and rinse in the bath. Do not scrub hard, and do not expect a lighter skin tone. Skip the face. If the arms are cut, sunburnt, or easily upset by turmeric, do not use it.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons fresh curd
- a pinch of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon besan
How to prepare
- Stir curd, a pinch of turmeric, and besan into a smooth paste.
- Keep it soft. If it is stiff, add a few more drops of curd, not more turmeric.
How to use
- Before a bath, smooth a thin layer on the arms. Keep it off the face and off broken skin.
- Leave it for a few minutes. Do not rub hard.
- Rinse it off fully in the bath while it is still soft. Once a week is enough.
Helpful habits
- Use an old cloth. Turmeric marks pale fabric.
- A pinch means a pinch. Extra turmeric mostly adds stain.
Precautions
- External use only. Do not eat this polish, and keep it out of the eyes.
- Patch test on the inner arm and wait a day before both arms.
- Do not use it on broken, cut, or sunburnt skin. Stop if it itches or stings.
