Beet and Carrot Salad Bowl

A bowl of beetroot and carrot with lemon and roasted sesame is a fresh side for a meal. It is everyday food. It is not a treatment for anaemia.

Beet and carrot salad as food

Beetroot, carrot, lemon, and sesame make a crunchy salad. Kitchens serve it beside dal and roti because it tastes bright, not because a bowl can replace a blood test or iron medicine.

Eat it as part of a normal plate. If a doctor has said you are anaemic, follow that plan. Do not use this salad to delay a blood test. Beet pigment can tint urine or stool pink, and that colour alone is not a medical result.

Ingredients

  • 1 small beetroot, peeled
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds

How to prepare

  1. Grate or finely chop the beetroot and carrot into a bowl.
  2. Toss with lemon juice and roasted sesame just before eating.

How to use

  • Eat one small bowl as a side with lunch or dinner.
  • Chew it as part of a meal, not as a juice fast.
  • Keep the portion to a side plate if a large raw salad usually bloats you.

Helpful habits

  • Lightly steamed beetroot and carrot are fine if raw vegetables feel hard to digest.
  • A pinch of salt is optional and is not what makes the bowl useful food.

Precautions

  • This salad is food, not an anaemia treatment, and it does not replace iron tablets.
  • Beetroot can colour urine or stool pink. That alone is not harm or benefit.
  • Skip any food you are allergic to, and ask a doctor about big diet changes in kidney disease.

No. This page is a small chewed bowl with a meal, not a juice cleanse.
