A Gentle Coffee and Coconut Oil Scalp Scrub, Rarely
A teaspoon of fine coffee in coconut oil massaged lightly on a clean scalp, not scrubbed hard and not more than once in a while. Not for itchy, flaky or sore scalps.

A scrub that must stay gentle
Coffee scrubs are a viral idea for build-up on the scalp. Mixed with coconut oil the coffee grains lift loose flakes of product and dead cells. A gentle massage can feel refreshing, but scrubbing hard or often can inflame the scalp and make hair loss worse. It does not grow hair.
Keep it rare, at most once a month, and use very fine coffee in oil, not dry grounds. Patch test first and rinse out well. Skip it with an itchy, flaky, red, sore or oozing scalp, and with colour-treated or very dry hair. See a dermatologist for persistent problems.
