Winter Masala Chai with Less Sugar
Chai with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and clove and half the usual sugar, once or twice a day. Still caffeine; a tradition, not an immunity fix.

The everyday cup, a little lighter
Masala chai is the winter cup of most Indian homes, with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and clove giving warmth and aroma. Masala chai spices keep appearing in 2026 lists of foods people search for, but the cup is a tradition and a pleasure, not an immunity treatment. The easiest improvement is half the sugar.
Keep tea to one or two cups a day, away from bedtime, and not on an empty stomach if it upsets you. Use spices in small amounts. If you have acidity, high blood pressure, pregnancy or sleep problems, cut the number of cups.
