Roasted Flaxseed Powder in Roti Atta

A tablespoon of roasted, ground alsi in every two cups of atta, adding fibre and healthy fats to rotis for steadier sugar after meals.

Illustrated still life with flaxseeds.

Important: this remedy is only a supportive home measure. Keep taking any medicine your doctor has prescribed, monitor your readings, and consult your doctor before adding anything new.

Why flaxseed is used this way

Alsi (flaxseed) gives soluble fibre and plant omega-3. Ground seeds are absorbed better than whole ones, which often pass through undigested.

Flaxseed is rich in soluble fibre and omega-3 fats. Trials in people with type 2 diabetes found small improvements in sugar and cholesterol with daily ground flaxseed. Whole seeds pass undigested, so grind them.
