Matcha and Multani Mitti Mask for Oily, Dull Skin

A small spoon of matcha with multani mitti and a little curd, kept on for ten minutes and rinsed before it dries hard. Patch test first, no more than once a week.

Bowls of green matcha paste, matcha powder and white curd with a bamboo whisk and a wooden spoon.

The viral green mask, kept gentle

The matcha mud mask is a 2026 viral idea: green tea powder for a fresh feel, multani mitti to soak up oil and curd to soften it. It can leave oily, dull skin feeling clean for a day. It does not treat acne, pigmentation or ageing.

Clay can dry the skin if left on, so keep the mask on for ten minutes at most and rinse while it is still slightly damp. Patch test first, use once a week, and follow with a moisturiser. Skip it on dry, sensitive, broken or sunburnt skin.
