Very Soft Moong Khichdi, Not a Cleanse
Rice and yellow moong cooked with extra water, cumin, ginger and a few drops of ghee until very soft. One bowl. It is food for a tired stomach, not a cleanse and not a fast.

One soft bowl, then ordinary meals return
Wash a small handful of rice and a small handful of yellow moong. Simmer them in plenty of water with cumin and a little ginger until a spoon mashes the grains. Finish with a few drops of ghee if you eat ghee. Eat one bowl. This is the old soft meal people take when food feels heavy. It is not a one-food cleanse, not a fast, and not a treatment for an ulcer or an infection.
Do not eat only khichdi for days unless a doctor has asked you to. Pain, blood in the stool, black stools, repeated vomiting, or a fever need a doctor. If the dal is undercooked it will cause gas; cook it soft. Leftovers belong in the fridge.
