Amla, Turmeric and Black Pepper Morning Shot
A small shot of fresh amla juice with a pinch of turmeric and black pepper, diluted in water, on winter mornings after breakfast.

Using amla sensibly at home
Amla, the Indian gooseberry, is sour, astringent and rich in vitamin C. Ayurveda calls it cooling and uses it in chyawanprash, triphala, murabba and hair oils.
Fresh amla gives vitamin C, and turmeric with black pepper is a classic pairing for better absorption. Drink it diluted and after food so it does not irritate the stomach.
