Important: this remedy is only a supportive home measure. Keep taking any medicine your doctor has prescribed, monitor your readings, and consult your doctor before adding anything new.
Winter milk, made simple
Packets of milk masala are often full of sugar. A home-made mix of almonds, cashews, pistachios, cardamom and a few saffron threads is simple, fragrant and unsweetened, so you control the sweetness.
Dry roast the nuts lightly, grind coarsely with cardamom and stir in saffron. A teaspoon in a cup of warm milk is plenty. This is a homemade flavour mix and not a health tonic.
