Saunf and Mishri Tea for a Tickly Cough
Fennel seeds simmered with a crystal of mishri into a mild, sweet tea for a tickly, dry cough in the evening.

The Ayurvedic view of saunf
Saunf (fennel) is sweet, fragrant and cooling. It is chewed after meals across India and brewed into a mild tea for gas and heaviness.
Fennel is gentle and soothing, and mishri is the traditional sweetener for cough remedies. The warm, sweet tea is comforting for a tickly throat and safe for most of the family.
