Savoury Vegetable Dalia, with No Sugar
Dalia cooked soft with vegetables, cumin and a little salt, and with no sugar or honey. It is breakfast. It does not replace diabetes medicine.

Important: this remedy is only a supportive home measure. Keep taking any medicine your doctor has prescribed, monitor your readings, and consult your doctor before adding anything new.
A savoury bowl, not a sweet porridge
Broken wheat cooked in water with carrot, beans or peas, cumin and a pinch of salt is an ordinary breakfast. This page keeps it savoury. No sugar, no honey, no jaggery, no sweetened milk. A few drops of ghee at the end are optional. It does not treat diabetes and it does not change a dose.
Dalia is wheat, so people told to avoid wheat should not use this bowl. If you are counting carbohydrates with a dietitian, this bowl still counts. Shakiness or sweating after it can be a low: follow your doctor's steps. Do not skip medicine because breakfast was 'healthy'.

Frequently asked questions
Can I stir in honey because honey is natural?
- No. This bowl has no honey and no sugar. Sweetening it turns it into a different breakfast.
Will daily dalia let me stop diabetes tablets?
- No. It is breakfast. Tablets, insulin, and testing stay as your doctor prescribed.
I do not eat wheat. What then?
- Skip this page. Dalia is broken wheat. Do not force it.
