  2. Set the timer for 45–50 minutes of study followed by a 10-minute break.

  • Study in 45–50 minute blocks; in each break, stand up, stretch, drink water and look out of a window.
  • Before starting a paper or study session, breathe in for 4 counts and out for 6 counts, ten times.

  • Eat light, home-cooked meals and keep fried food and sweets for after exams.
